Established for over half a century, we dedicate ourselves to helping local people from all walks of life have happy relationships
We support individuals, couples and families through all stages of their relationships offering relationship counselling, couple counselling, family counselling, sex therapy, workshops and mediation in a confidential and safe environment.
We have 18 trained counsellors serving East Devon, North Devon and outlying rural areas, who are non-judgemental and listen and encourage you to talk openly about your concerns, helping you reach your own decisions about the best way forward.
All counsellors are previously trained and qualified before joining Relate, and are subjected to an additional 18 months training and 240 hours clinical practice before they are deemed to be Relate fully trained. In addition they have all received extra training in Domestic Violence, Sexual Abuse and Mental Illness, and specific members of staff have spent an additional 18 months specialising in psychosexual and/or family counselling. All counsellors are strictly supervised, undertake intensive continuous professional development, and abide by a strict ethical code and confidentiality procedures.
